LET US SAVE UGANDA (LUSU) is a Non For Profit (NP), Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Charity and Registered as a Community Based Organization (CBO) on 26th-August-2009 in accordance with the Kabale District Council Resolution under Minute No. 4/2003 (C) and Registration No. 1055 that legalize LUSU to undertake her Activities/Programmes as per her policy guidelines embedded in our Constitution in Uganda and beyond. It should be noted that LUSU is a Non-Partisan Organisation and works with all religions and cultures for humanitarian issues and concerns Locally, Regional and International. LUSU is a Multi-Project Organisation dealing with a variety of disciplines for sustainable development. Agriculture is the backbone of Uganda and has played a key role in the development of human civilization even elsewhere in the world. Until the industrial revolution, the vast majority of the human population labored in agriculture. Therefore the development of agricultural techniques has steadily increased agricultural productivity in some areas around the world but developing countries have been left behind and are faced with terrible famine. LET US SAVE UGANDA (LUSU) Department of Agriculture is concerned with sustainable agricultural activities in Uganda. Agriculture is the backbone of Uganda and has played a key role in the development of human civilization even elsewhere in the world.

Department of Environment and Natural Resources is a very essential unit of the Organization that satisfies the core values of LUSU. According to LUSU’s survey and analysis, the major environmental problems facing developing countries particularly Uganda include: poor waste and sanitation management, overgrazing, deforestation, reclaiming of fragile ecosystems, primitive and substandard agricultural practices, all that have lead to soil erosion and deterioration of various ecosystems and life forms.
